10.08.2005 Ah yes. Another five days pass in various activities, inactivities and anguishing bickering. Oh, and I found out that I got into a college, the one I wanted to go to! The only one I applied to, actually... Yeah. This time I've got to stick it through. But this post is not another diary-esque update marvel. The event I want to relate will take place less than an hour away. Without further ado, then, I announce that I have another (almost, honey, almost) two weeks of travel ahead of me, this time through the heart of European Russia. Although the term "European Russia" might be a bit of an oxymoron. I am going to Russia to attend another wedding, a cousin of mine is getting married, the poor thing. Second marriage in a year, it is... The account of my first trip to Abinsk, Russia, can be found here. Should it interest anyone. Anyway, off I go, to spend roughly four days in a train, if counting the bit from Helsinki to St.Petersburg in. Let's see if I make it back in one piece... |

07.09.2005 Man, I'm dying. Again. My blood pressure is abnormally low, my leukocytes abnormally high, and I have a sore throat and diarrhea. I've also endured severe embarrassment during my numerous blood tests, since I tend to faint during them. No, I'm not afraid of blood. I don't know why I go all gooey when they suck out my life-juice, while being able to watch other give theirs with nothing but fascination. My arms now resemble those of a drug addict with a bad aim (Well, not really. The nurses are great here), and I'm a bit down. This is it, me thinks. Cut down in my prime, at 25 years of age... Time to shuffle off this mortal coil, as Shakespeare used to write. And he's dead, so he should know what he's talking about. But perhaps the latest round of blood tests preformed on me will provide some answers... Good, happy ones! Yeah. Obviously, my school attendance has suffered a bit. These past two days I've been sitting at home and going to the docs. But I'll go to school tomorrow, and will anyway get the course material from the net. It is another issue whether I'll study it or not... But I have to, so at least I'll try. And as to what's been going lately, well, the simple answer is "not much". I've been going to school, trying to get into the groove after repeatedly failing all attempts at education higher than High School. So far, so good, I must say. Knock on wood... Other than that, I've been getting used to going to sleep as early as 23:00, doing my meager homework, and watching less telly. Although we started renting tons of movies on the weekends and less busy days. Picture of the day, btw, is of my ex-gf, who came over to watch "Robots" with us (My girlie and The Ex get along better than I get along with either one of them) and show off her newest tattoo. Freaky, huh? I'll concentrate on humorous matters for our linkage of the day. First off, a great list of top 20 funniest and most offending religious jokes, according to The Ship of Fools. Then, continuing on with the jokes, read the best jokes (According to The Sun) from the Edinburgh Comedy Fringe Festival. A few are actually funny. And the last one, a little tale of how one guy basically failed The Turing test. Kinda reminds me of that one time I scored 35 in an IQ test. Just barely sentinent... |
