Markscheider Kunst on stage

Whee, I survived the hangover, thanks to the magic healing properties of Chinese food! I’d give it a 5 out of 10, so not a particularly bad one as hangovers go. Met dear old Mr. Z, who came over from Denmark to attend a wedding, and some of my guys & gals. Had a great time, 9 outta 10! Drank way way too much, spend 81 fucking euros on booze and admission fees (that’s like a friggin’ Playstation 2 boozed away, Christ!). I guess I was a tad too drunk in the end, but I behaved pretty much fine, I give myself an 8 out of 10. But my financial indiscretion deserves a severe -1 out of 10, and a stern reprimand complete with a slap on the wrists.

.

That was yesterday. Then there was the Tusovka party on Friday, with bands and old friends! I don’t really remember the gig, nor do I recall the music because I spent very little time in the concert hall, instead choosing to hang out by the bar and catching up with people I’ve not seen in years and years. Sigh, I suck at keeping in touch. I’m afraid I’ll end up a bitter, friendless old man this way. But I guess we’re all secretly afraid of that.

.

Today’s links, then. Let’s see if I can dig up something interesting…

  • Sci-fi tech made possible! I am still waiting for my robot servant and a flying car, goddamnit.
  • Thieving bear gets accidentally locked up inside a car! What a klutz.
  • German research into male tears yeilds no surprises. I personally can’t cry. Haven’t since 2003, I think. Something broke during one of my insane phases, and now I just can’ẗ squeeze out anything no matter what.
  • Then a small dose of übercute! Squirrels are the best, I wonder if they make good pets? One’d suspect they are dumb as nails though…

.

Ok, a couple of videos and I’ll wrap it up for today. First an interesting short film, Yellow Cake! I wonder if the animator knew what yellow cake can mean? I kind of doubt it:

And to finish it all off here’s an extremely beautiful timescape… Just gorgeous. I recommend watching it in HD, full screen.
